Apart from the six evening concerts, nesko also gives several ‘lunch concerts’ each year. These lunch concerts consist of chamber music in smaller ensembles formed by members of the orchestra and are held in locations as hospitals, schools, museums and refugee centers with the aim of bringing classical music to an audience that isn’t usually in the position to go to a concert.

In preparation of this concert week, we will spend a full week in intensive rehearsals from the 1th of april untill the 7th. This rehearsal week takes place in Idskenhuizen, Friesland, in the week before the concert week. There is also a rehearsal weekend in March on the 26th an 27th of March to get to know each other and the pieces we will be playing.
